A host of celebrities and friends of the museum joined Suzan Holder for drinks and canapes this week as we celebrated the launch of her new book, Shake It Up Beverley!

The book explores the long and winding road to love for a fifty-something mum in the suburbs of Liverpool. It’s the perfect laugh out loud read about life, love and lonely hearts in the home of the Beatles.

Suzan visited the Liverpool Beatles Museum some time ago with her husband Noddy and decided it was the perfect place to launch her fantastic romantic comedy story. Guests arrived at 7pm on Wednesday 25th May to celebrate the publication of Suzan’s fantastic novel. They were greeted by free flowing drinks and canapes while the Witty Featherstones, a band featuring Suzan and Noddy Holder’s son Django and his friend Chris, entertained the crowd.

Guests included Billy Butler, Craig Cash, Ian Puleston-Davies, Mike McCartney and Paddy Rowan amongst others, and they were all entertained by Pete Price, who hosted the evening, and Leanne Campbell, who read a fantastic excerpt from Suzan’s book.

Suzan worked on regional and national newspapers before moving into TV, producing news and lifestyle programmes. With spare time on her hands over lockdown, Suzan adapted her already popular play into this fantastic novel set in her adopted city. The book is published by Harper Collins and is dead ea-ea-sy to find and buy so why not give it a go!
