Two presidents came to see us for an out of hours guided tour of the museum on Saturday!

We were delighted to host Thomas Bach, the President of the International Olympics Committee,  to tour the museum Thomas is a huge Beatles fan and thoroughly enjoyed exploring our collection.

We were also visited by Morinari Watanabe, the President of the International Federation of Gymnasts, who was particularly interested in our Japanese collection, particularly the Budokan exhibits, and the connection between the the Beatles and Japan.

The World Gymnastic Championships in Liverpool has been a huge success and we were honoured to get the presidential visits to celebrate such a great event!

After the visit, the whole delegation zoomed off to Switzerland, but not before taking a group photo in front of the museum on Mathew Street!
