Liverpool Legends Hall of Fame
Now included in your visit to the Liverpool Beatles Museum, the Liverpool Legends Hall of Fame is a new permanent exhibition that expands the visitor experience beyond The Beatles to celebrate the wider creative community that defines the city. The project recognises people with a strong connection to Liverpool whose work has shaped its cultural identity across music, film, sport, and the performing arts.
Rather than focusing on a single era, Liverpool Legends spans generations, from pioneers of the Merseybeat movement and stage and screen icons to contemporary artists and innovators continuing the city’s legacy today. Each inductee is selected for their contribution to culture and their role in strengthening Liverpool’s global reputation as a centre of creativity and talent.
The initiative is designed to grow over time, allowing new names to be added as their influence develops and new stories emerge. By bringing together well-known figures and unsung contributors alike, Liverpool Legends offers visitors a broader understanding of the city’s heritage and the communities behind it.

The Exhibition
The Liverpool Legends exhibition stretches across three floors of the Liverpool Beatles Museum, celebrating cultural figures connected to the city beyond The Beatles.
It brings together past and present musicians, performers and creatives who have helped shape Liverpool’s identity around the world.
The design reflects the idea that there’s something in the water — a creative energy running through Liverpool that continues to inspire generations of talent.
The exhibition was decorated by local artist “Art Unknown”
A “Frankie Goes to Hollywood display showing a guitar used by Brian “Nasher” Nash along with a suit worn in a TV performance by Holly Johnson
Donated by acclaimed Hollywood actor Peter Serafinowicz, this display houses an original script and prop from the film “Shaun of the Dead”.
A championship belt donated by boxer Tony “the bomber” Bellew
The collection will continue to expand each year, creating an ongoing celebration of the talent Liverpool has produced, and continues to nurture.
By adding new names over time, the exhibition reflects a living story, recognising both established figures and emerging voices who carry the city’s creative legacy forward.
Team GB costumes donated by olympian gymnast Beth Tweddle
One Museum, Hundreds of Stories
