What an amazing way to experience the Beatles final single!

We were joined by over 70 guests as we celebrated the legendary band’s last ever single, ‘Now and Then’, gathering at the museum to listen together as it was released at 2pm yesterday, 3rd November.

We were also delighted to be joined by two television crews all the way from Japan, who soaked up the amazing atmosphere and interviewed our lovely Friends of the Museum about their thoughts on the new release.

Each guest got a complementary glass of bubbly as they arrived for what turned out to be an unforgettable experience. We all counted down from 10 together, and as John’s voice filled the room the crowd sat quietly listening to the wonderful sound of all four Beatles making music together one last time.

Cheers went up as the song came to a close, and it was truly moving to share the moment with fans from around the world, so we just wanted to say thank you all for making it so special!

Below we have included a video from Asahi News, a Japanese news channel, which was taken by one of the camera crews in attendance. Watch to the end to see interviews with our guests and their thoughts about the release!

Thanks again and see you at our next event!
