The Casbah Coffee Club was more than just a venue—it was a launchpad for some of the biggest names in British rock. Between 1959 and 1962, the club was buzzing with raw energy, live music, and the hum of a coffee machine keeping young musicians going.

Now, visitors to the museum can see some of the original relics from those days up close. Recently added to the collection are a clock, a table, and a coffee machine—three everyday objects that quietly witnessed history being made. The clock adorned the wall of the coffee bar area, the table provided a meeting point and the coffee machine provided refreshment for a procession of entertainers that frequented the Casbah Coffee Club from 1959-1962.

The lineup of acts that passed through the Casbah is an incredible who’s who of Merseybeat legends. The Beatles, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Searchers, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, Ian and the Zodiacs, Derry and the Seniors, Billy J. Kramer, Karl Terry and the Cruisers, Kingsize Taylor and the Dominoes, and even Cilla Black—all of them played here before they were famous. It was truly one of the first places where the Merseybeat sound started taking shape.

These newly displayed objects—a clock, a table, and a coffee machine—might not look like much. But if they could talk, they’d have some of the best stories in rock & roll history. Now, visitors have the chance to stand in front of them and imagine those legendary moments!
